Identifying a problem and finding solutions with AI is key to improving business

A Coruña (Spain), Oct 4 (EFE).- AI Expert Michael Lewrick explained on Saturday that identifying a problem and then finding solutions with Artificial Intelligence is the key to improving business, as he demonstrated in a master class.

As part of Ecosystems 2030, Michael Lewrick, author of the book ‘AI and Innovation’, discussed the possibilities offered by Artificial Intelligence in the business world to an audience of around 200 people.

He explained to EFE that the first step is to “identify use cases for AI” and then “the important part is always to find the problem first.”

“We look into what the friction points are afterwards, we design a first solution, and of course, test how an AI solution might look like. And this exercise was only 30 minutes, and we got exceptionally good results,” he said.

The “challenge” posed was “how to organize the best conference in the world using AI tools,” and he produced “amazing” results.

Very good solutions in a very short time

“One solution was about finance […] We had one solution that made an impact by clustering a lot of information that you need to organize the entire event. With about 200 people in the room and a good workshop setting, you can generate over 50 solutions in no time,” he added.

That is “the beauty of using design thinking methodologies,” a methodology for solving problems creatively, which offers “very good solutions in a very short time,” he insisted.

Lewrick anticipates that in the future we will see “AI everywhere,” as there are already “many use cases” today.

“We see it in the financial industry, we see it in manufacturing, we see that entire businesses will be disrupted by the new technology. And we see it in movies, filmmaking, and music. So, all these players have to adapt. And of course, this will have a large impact on our economy, how we work and how we perceive our future,” he concluded. EFE
