{"id":126229,"date":"2024-09-09T18:24:08","date_gmt":"2024-09-09T16:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/efecomunica.efe.com\/?p=126229"},"modified":"2024-09-09T21:09:34","modified_gmt":"2024-09-09T19:09:34","slug":"moodys-upgrades-kazakhstans-rating-to-highest-countrys-history","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/efecomunica.efe.com\/en\/moodys-upgrades-kazakhstans-rating-to-highest-countrys-history\/","title":{"rendered":"Moody&#8217;s upgrades Kazakhstan&#8217;s rating to highest in country\u2019s history"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Astana, Sep 9 (EFE).- <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moodys.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Moody&#8217;s Ratings<\/a> on Monday raised <strong>Kazakhstan&#8217;s long-term rating from Baa2 to Baa1<\/strong> with a \u201cstable\u201d outlook, <strong>the highest in the country&#8217;s history<\/strong>, the Kazakh Ministry of Economy said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>According to the ministry, Kazakhstan&#8217;s new credit rating is due to <strong>continued improvements<\/strong> in the institutional and political framework, accompanied by a <strong>steady pace of economic diversification.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Moody&#8217;s \u201cnotes progress in the areas of public administration and anti-corruption\u201d and highlighted \u201cKazakhstan&#8217;s strong financial performance, characterized by <strong>low levels and high affordability of debt<\/strong>, and the government&#8217;s prudent policy to keep the budget deficit between<strong> 2.5% and 3% of GDP,<\/strong>\u201d the ministry&#8217;s press release adds.<\/p>\n<p>The credit rating agency&#8217;s report underscored an increase in the share of the <strong>non-oil sector of the Kazakh economy<\/strong>. This reduces the country&#8217;s dependence on hydrocarbons and <strong>lowers the risks<\/strong> associated with fluctuations in oil prices and production.<\/p>\n<p>The Kazakh ministry stressed that Moody&#8217;s experts appreciate the ongoing work to <strong>improve the business climate and attract investment.<\/strong> In addition, they also acknowledged the measures to encourage a <strong>favorable business ecosystem and reduce bureaucratic barriers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this regard, the rating agency indicated that the launch of the <strong>National Digital Investment Platform<\/strong> will help streamline administrative processes.
