Our President and Government are taking systematic steps to preserve and revive many beautiful traditions and aspects of Kazakh heritage. The Tazy rightfully holds a place among them,\u201d <strong data-start=\"1653\" data-end=\"1704\">Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.kz\/memleket\/entities\/mfa\/about\/structure\/people\/20888?lang=en\">Roman Vassilenko<\/a><\/strong> told EFE.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1716\" data-end=\"1935\">Three years ago, <strong data-start=\"1733\" data-end=\"1775\">Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev<\/strong> signed a <strong data-start=\"1785\" data-end=\"1822\">law aimed at preserving the breed<\/strong>, which is medium-sized, slender, and athletic. We are pleased that they have found a warm home at the \u00c9lys\u00e9e Palace and devoted, loving caretakers in President and Madame Macron,\u201d <strong data-start=\"2490\" data-end=\"2504\">Vassilenko<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2512\" data-end=\"2732\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2514\" data-end=\"2732\">\u201cThese graceful and agile four-legged ambassadors, without uttering a word, convey a powerful message through their penetrating gaze and unwavering loyalty, promoting our values of peace and harmony,\u201d Vassilenko added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"\" data-start=\"2739\" data-end=\"2807\"><strong data-start=\"2742\" data-end=\"2807\">Tazy officially recognized as Kazakhstan\u2019s national dog breed<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2809\" data-end=\"3006\">In 2024, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fci.be\/Nomenclature\/Standards\/372g10-en.pdf\"><strong data-start=\"2822\" data-end=\"2869\">F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Cynologique Internationale (FCI)<\/strong><\/a> officially recognized the Tazy as <strong data-start=\"2904\" data-end=\"2939\">Kazakhstan\u2019s national dog breed<\/strong> and granted the country <strong data-start=\"2964\" data-end=\"3005\">custodianship over the breed standard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3008\" data-end=\"3135\">The <strong data-start=\"3012\" data-end=\"3060\">Tazy stands apart from the Spanish greyhound<\/strong> due to its <strong data-start=\"3072\" data-end=\"3092\">distinctive coat<\/strong> \u2014 medium-length, dense, and slightly wavy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3137\" data-end=\"3383\">They are believed to be descended from the <strong data-start=\"3171\" data-end=\"3181\">Saluki<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"3187\" data-end=\"3208\">Persian greyhound<\/strong> brought to the region by Muslim missionaries. Their defining trait is their <strong data-start=\"3835\" data-end=\"3887\">skill in defending flocks and people from wolves<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"3890\" data-end=\"4137\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3892\" data-end=\"4137\">\u201cOne of their key characteristics is that they\u2019re friendly with people and non-aggressive toward other animals.
