S\u00e3o Paulo, Jul 22 (EFE).\u2014<\/strong> From idyllic beaches and safaris in the world\u2019s largest wetland<\/strong> to cultural immersions in Indigenous territories<\/strong>, Brazil is offering a wide array of transformative experiences<\/strong>\u2014now gathered in a new platform called Feel Brasil<\/a>, aimed at helping tourists, particularly foreigners, discover the country in a deeper, more meaningful way<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Focusing on sustainability and human connection<\/strong>, the project, launched earlier this year, brings together 101 experiences across Brazil\u2019s five regions<\/strong> on a single website. All were selected by the Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion (Embratur)<\/strong> and the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae).<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018Feel Brasil\u2019 as a global tourism strategy<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Feel Brasil<\/strong>\u00a0the initiative serves as both \u201ca showcase of national tourism<\/strong>\u201d and \u201ca solid strategy to position Brazil on the international stage<\/strong>,\u201d said Marcelo Freixo<\/strong>, president of Embratur, in an interview with EFE.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cBy connecting global tourists with authentic and sustainable experiences, we\u2019re directly responding to the growing demand for experiential tourism,\u201d he said. \u201cThe benefits include increased tourist spending, decentralization of tourist flows, and the strengthening of local economies.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Northeast Brazil: coral reefs, Afro culture, and sunset picnics<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Designed to appeal to a wide range of travelers, the platform features a concentration of offerings in Brazil\u2019s northeast<\/strong>, with 39 activities<\/strong> that include traditional cooking classes<\/strong>, tours through colonial historic centers<\/strong>, and visits to stunning beaches<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Pernambuco<\/strong>, visitors can witness coral reef restoration<\/strong> in Porto de Galinhas or go diving<\/strong> in the protected waters around Fernando de Noronha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Salvador<\/strong>, capital of Bahia<\/strong>, tourists can walk the Orix\u00e1s Trail<\/strong> or take the Black Bahia Tour<\/strong> to explore Afro-Brazilian culture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Len\u00e7\u00f3is Maranhenses<\/strong> in Maranh\u00e3o stands out with experiences like sunset picnics amid white sand dunes and lagoons<\/strong>, or watching bioluminescent plankton<\/strong> light up the water.<\/p>\n

Immersive experiences in the Amazon region<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The northern region<\/strong> offers 12 experiences<\/strong> centered on the Amazon rainforest<\/strong>, ancestral knowledge<\/strong>, and sustainable practices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Manaus<\/strong>, travelers can choose an Indigenous immersion along the Rio Negro<\/strong> or sample Amazonian cuisine through the At\u00e9 o Tucupi Tour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Alter do Ch\u00e3o (Par\u00e1)<\/strong>\u2014nicknamed the Amazonian Caribbean<\/strong>\u2014visitors can enjoy jungle treks in the Jamarac\u00e1 community<\/strong> and participate in a Piracaia<\/strong>, a traditional riverbank gathering with grilled fish and music<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Other highlights include the Chocolate Route on the Way of the Islands<\/strong> in Bel\u00e9m<\/strong> and engagement with the Paiter Suru\u00ed<\/strong> people in Cacoal (Rond\u00f4nia)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Small businesses lead Brazil\u2019s tourism transformation<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Behind most of these experiences are local citizens running small businesses<\/strong> eager to share their culture.<\/p>\n

This is a key element that Feel Brasil<\/strong> aims to highlight, positioning itself as a tool for both social and economic transformation<\/strong> in local communities.<\/p>\n

    \u201cThe project boosts the leadership of small and micro entrepreneurs, enhances local territories, and drives regional development through job and income creation,\u201d said Freixo.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
