S\u00e3o Paulo, Nov 6 (EFE).\u2014<\/strong> Film locations from Netflix<\/strong> productions in Brazil\u2014ranging from series to reality shows\u2014now take center stage in a new digital tourism guide<\/strong> designed to bring Brazilian landscapes closer to domestic and international audiences. The first chapter highlights the vastness and diversity of the Amazon<\/strong>, the world\u2019s largest tropical rainforest.<\/p>\n

Launched in partnership with the Brazilian Tourism Board (Embratur)<\/strong>, the guide seeks to attract more foreign visitors to Brazil, which registered a record 7 million international arrivals<\/strong> between January and September 2025, a 45% increase<\/strong> from the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n

A strategy linking tourism and audiovisual storytelling<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The initiative underscores Brazil\u2019s strategy of using audiovisual entertainment to promote tourism<\/strong>, while reinforcing Netflix\u2019s ongoing investment<\/strong> in the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cNetflix is a great international showcase, and this partnership reinforces the potential of Brazil\u2019s audiovisual industry to inspire people to discover our country, our culture and our people,<\/strong>\u201d said Embratur president Marcelo Freixo<\/strong> in a statement.<\/p>\n

Freixo called the project \u201can example of how the audiovisual sector and tourism can be powerful allies in creating opportunities and driving development.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sergio Vinay<\/strong>, Netflix\u2019s director of strategic partnerships with governments<\/strong>, emphasized the country\u2019s cinematic potential.<\/p>\n

\u201cBesides being very important to Netflix, Brazil is a country rich in culture and landscapes. With this guide we want viewers to feel invited to experience the country firsthand, to live the stories they\u2019ve learned to love on screen,<\/strong>\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Amazons: One rainforest, many worlds<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The guide debuts with a chapter called \u201cThe Amazons,\u201d<\/strong> highlighting the multiple realities<\/strong> contained within the region.<\/p>\n

Covering half of Brazil\u2019s territory<\/strong>, the Amazon has served as the setting for love stories, comedies, mysteries and narratives of resilience<\/strong> in Netflix productions such as Invisible City<\/em>, Rich in Love 2<\/em> and the second season of Love Is Blind: Brazil<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In real life, the guide notes, \u201cthe Amazons<\/strong>\u201d include everything viewers<\/strong> have seen and more, from festivals<\/strong> and gastronomy to culture and natural<\/strong> wonders.<\/p>\n

Featured destinations include Anavilhanas National Park<\/strong>, Maroaga Cave<\/strong>, the Land of Waterfalls in Amap\u00e1<\/strong>, the Blue Lagoon<\/strong>, and the Parintins Festival<\/strong> in Par\u00e1\u2014also known as the Amazon Carnival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

More destinations coming in 2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Beginning in 2026, the platform will add new multimedia content, with themed chapters dedicated to the Pantanal<\/strong>, the world\u2019s largest wetland<\/strong>, in addition to curated guides for beach travel<\/strong> and regional culinary tours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The guide was officially launched on Nov. 4<\/strong> at the World Travel Market in London<\/strong>, which concludes Thursday. EFE<\/p>\n
