The attack caused an explosion, but did not result in a fire,\u201d the company said on its Telegram channel.<\/p>\n<p>According to the company, \u201cthe vessel Matilda was chartered by Kazmortransflot,\u201d a subsidiary of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kmg.kz\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KazMunayGas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe tanker was scheduled to load Kazakh crude oil at the KTK terminal on January 18, 2026,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n<p>The company said that \u201cthere are no casualties among the crew\u201d and \u201caccording to preliminary estimates, the ship remains seaworthy, and no serious damage to its structure has been observed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Kazakh Ministry of Energy<\/strong> later confirmed the incident and said that the tanker Delta Harmony was also attacked while waiting its turn to be loaded.<\/p>\n<p>The crews of both ships were unharmed, authorities confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>The attack is the fourth against the consortium, following the Kropotkinskaya pumping station and offices in Novorossiysk.<\/p>\n<p>On November 29, <a href=\"https:\/\/efecomunica.efe.com\/en\/kazakhstan-protests-against-ukrainian-attack-on-caspian-oil-pipeline-in-russian-port\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a marine drone struck a maritime cargo terminal<\/a> in the Russian port of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea, causing \u201cconsiderable damage to the VPU-2 cargo terminal\u201d and losses of <strong>between $70 million and $100 million for Kazakhstan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The consortium brings together major companies from Kazakhstan, the United States, Russia, and several European nations. It accused Ukraine of \u201cundermining the interests of the participating countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kazakhstan acknowledged on Tuesday that the attacks on the infrastructure caused a temporary reduction in shipments via that route. This forced the authorities to increase supplies via other routes, particularly to China.
