Although primary pharmaceutical packaging is exempt from PPWR’s recyclability and\u00a0minimum\u00a0recycled-content rules when\u00a0product quality is at stake, it\u00a0remains\u00a0subject to the regulation’s mandatory minimization obligation, meaning\u00a0that\u00a0material and weight reduction principles still apply.<\/p>\n “PPWR is accelerating a fundamental shift in how the pharmaceutical industry approaches primary packaging,”\u00a0said Van\u00a0Landeghem.\u00a0“Recyclability and material reduction are no longer aspirational.
