{"id":69866,"date":"2023-05-29T16:08:19","date_gmt":"2023-05-29T14:08:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/efecomunica.efe.com\/?p=69866"},"modified":"2023-05-30T17:01:27","modified_gmt":"2023-05-30T15:01:27","slug":"first-kazakh-school-teaching-in-spanish-opens-in-astana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/efecomunica.efe.com\/en\/first-kazakh-school-teaching-in-spanish-opens-in-astana\/","title":{"rendered":"First Kazakh school teaching in Spanish opens in Astana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Astana, 29 May (EFE).- The first Kazakh school teaching subjects in <strong>Spanish<\/strong>, the R<strong>oyal Lope de Vega Academy<\/strong>, was inaugurated on Monday in a solemn ceremony in Kazakhstan\u2019s capital, <strong>Astana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;It is an absolute honor to be able to participate in the official opening of the Royal Lope de Vega Academy, the first school to have accredited subjects taught in Spanish,&#8221; said the Spanish Ambassador to Kazakhstan,<strong> Jorge Urbiola<\/strong>, in an interview with EFE.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Urbiola emphasized that the educational institution &#8220;will be a key for Kazakh students to have a <strong>direct connection with Spain and Latin America<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The aim of our joint <strong>Spanish-Kazakh project<\/strong> is to create conditions for <strong>young Kazakhs<\/strong> to get to know the Spanish-speaking culture and have the opportunity to receive higher education in the best Spanish-speaking universities in the world,&#8221; Urbiola explained.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/o6Sk_-iJ6Mc?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Venezuelan Ambassador to Kazakhstan, <strong>Enrique Mendoza<\/strong>, who also took part in the opening ceremony, stressed that the Royal Lope de Vega Academy is an &#8220;important step towards the integration of peoples.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Bilingual program<\/h2>\n<p>The bilingual teaching program will start on September 1st, said Aizhan Kusainova-Oran, the director of the Spanish center Sin Fronteras, who also added that the enrollment process for children has already begun.<\/p>\n<p>After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the authorities and ambassadors entered the school, where they were welcomed with a shower of sweets, the traditional Kazakh &#8220;shashu,&#8221; a symbol of good wishes to guests at significant events.
