Denver, May 21 (EFE).- Riverside Luxury Cruises has announced that the Riverside Mahler is to make its debut in 2028, marking the first time the vessel will sail under the company’s flag and representing another step in expanding its fleet.
In 2023, Riverside acquired a fleet of five river ships from the now-defunct Crystal River Cruises — Mozart, Debussy, Ravel, Mahler, and Bach — and placed the first three into service on some of Europe’s most iconic waterways.
In this context, the addition of the Riverside Mahler forms part of the next phase of the luxury cruise line’s expansion strategy. According to the company, the vessel is expected to join its sister ship, Riverside Debussy, which currently sails along the Main, Rhine, and Moselle rivers.
“The launch of the Riverside Mahler gives us the opportunity to apply everything we have built so far and bring it to the Rhine in new and creative ways: greater access, more flexibility, and a renewed perspective on a river everyone believes they already know,” explained Riverside Luxury Cruises CEO Jennifer Halboth.
The company said the return of the Riverside Mahler underscores its long-term vision of expanding its fleet while maintaining the high standards of space, service, and sophistication that define the brand.
Halboth emphasized that as demand for luxury river cruises continues to grow, this expansion allows the company to reinforce its commitment to “delivering an exceptional and highly personalized experience,” while also honoring the legacy of these vessels.
Riverside Luxury Cruises said that additional details regarding itineraries and onboard improvements will be announced at a later date. EFE
