World Happiness Summit (WOHASU) Agenda Unveiled Featuring Over 45 Speakers

Among scientists, psychologists, economists and practitioners, Como, Italy, will be transformed into the capital of happiness and wellbeing for three days from the 24 to 26 of March. Speakers include: Nobel Laureate Professor Daniel Kahneman, Laurie Santos, who teaches the most popular class in Yale University History, Mo Gawdat, Former Chief Business Officer of Google [X], Jen Fisher, Deloitte US Chief Wellbeing Officer, the Editors of the World Happiness Report and more.

Miami, FL – From March 24- 26, 2023 Como will transform itself into the capital of happiness by hosting over 45 speakers, including scientists, psychologists, economists, advocates and practitioners who will meet to talk about the science of happiness and wellbeing.

Presenting Host Sponsor of the initiative, for the first time in Europe, is DHL Express, the world’s leading express courier services group.

“It will be three transformative days filled with teachings and tips to raise awareness and create positive mindsets. Each day will follow an intentional path and it’s essential to see this event as a real journey or emersion to discover the science of happiness and how we, as individuals, can learn and put into practice processes that support our individual and collective wellbeing,” says Karen Guggenheim, Social Entrepreneur, Author and CEO/Founder of WOHASU®, the organizing body of The World Happiness Summit®.

In the afternoon of Friday, 24 March, the event will be opened by Karen Guggenheim, Alberto Nobis, CEO, DHL Express Europe and Alessandro Rapinese, Mayor of Como. The day will be followed by various speeches including keynotes on the subject of happiness in relation to time, life satisfaction and the workplace. Speakers on the first day include Richard Layard, Leading Economist, Co-Editor of the World Happiness Report, a report that uses global survey data to assess how people view their lives in more than 150 countries, and Community Wellbeing Programme Co-Director, London School of Economics, Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, Founder, Happiness Studies Academy who taught two of the most popular classes at Harvard University, Dr. Ella F. Washington, Professor of Practice, Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and an expert of diversity, equity and inclusion, and many other speakers.

On Saturday, 25 March, participants will explore happiness from the perspective of personal growth, the dimension of kindness, behavioral changes through positive psychology and will be introduced to the WOHASU Coaching Experience: a pathway to maximizing results and creating a sustainable wellbeing practice facilitated by a certified coach.

Speakers on the second day will feature Mo Gawdat, Former Chief Business Officer of Google [X] and Founder of One Billion Happy, Laurie Santos, Professor of the most popular class in Yale University history and the Wellbeing at Work Panel with Jen Fisher, Chief Well-being Officer, Deloitte US, DeAnne Aussem, Managing Director, Well Being Leader, PwC and Michael Edwards, Global Leader, Way We Work, McKinsey and Company.

On Sunday, 26 March, Daniel Kahneman, Nobel Laureate, Professor Emeritus, Princeton University and Karen Guggenheim will explore his work and happiness. The day will also address topics on overcoming trauma as well as discussions about employee wellbeing and policy implementations with experts such as, Lord Gus O’Donnell, Former Cabinet Secretary for three UK Prime Ministers and others.
